Chrome extension
Download every AI meeting summary you hosted. Markdown, plain text, JSON, and CSV, packed into one ZIP and saved on your computer.
The Chrome Web Store listing is not public yet, so there is no install button on this page. The trial exports the 5 most recent summaries on each run. A $19 license, paid inside the extension, lifts that cap. Zoom still calls these Meeting Summaries. They used to be called AI Companion.

Zoom’s help for a meeting summary covers review, edit, change the template, and open it in a Zoom Doc. A folder of every summary is not one of those actions. York University’s workaround (opens in a new tab) is to open each summary, send it to Zoom Docs, and export a Word or PDF file, one meeting at a time.
02
Retention is an account setting. At the University of Washington (opens in a new tab), summaries stay available for 30 days, move to Trash, and are permanently deleted 30 days later. Their IT FAQ says Zoom does not offer a way to download them. York keeps them for 90 days by default.
03
A cancelled Zoom plan, a job change, or a quarter of customer calls about to age out. That is when the archive has to happen in one pass, while the summaries are still listed.
Zoom deletes your meeting summaries. Export all of them in one pass, before it does.
Summarchive talks only to the official Zoom API, with Zoom’s own sign-in. There is no client secret and
no server of ours in the middle. Calls go to api.zoom.us. The ZIP is written on your machine.

The default range is the last 12 months. Markdown and the CSV index start out selected.
03
Fetched summaries sit in a local cache, so a cancelled run continues instead of starting over.

One file per meeting, named by date and topic, plus index.csv when you asked for it.

mynotes.zoom.us). That product has no public API.The Chrome Web Store listing is not public yet. When it is, install from there. The trial needs no account with us. Opening the extension asks ExtensionPay whether a license is paid; the card goes to Stripe only if you buy. A cancelled export continues from summaries already saved in the browser, on the trial and after you pay.

Install Summarchive, connect the Zoom account that hosted the meetings, and start an export. The
default range is the last 12 months. You get one ZIP named
zoom-summaries-YYYY-MM-DD.zip, with a file per meeting. Zoom’s API returns summaries
for meetings you hosted, on a Pro, Business, Education, or Enterprise plan with Meeting Summary
enabled.
Each Markdown file opens with YAML front matter — title, start and end, meeting ID, host, attendees, keywords, and a link to the Zoom Doc — then the overview, the sections, and next steps as checkboxes. That file drops into an Obsidian vault as a note. For Notion, import the Markdown or the CSV index. You bring the files across yourself. The sample at the top of this page is the shape of that note.
Your admin sets the window. At the University of Washington (opens in a new tab), meeting summaries stay available for 30 days, then move to Trash, and are permanently deleted after 30 days in Trash. That FAQ says Zoom does not offer a way to download meeting summaries. At York University (opens in a new tab) they are kept for 90 days by default, and the documented export is one summary at a time through Zoom Docs. Export while the summary is still listed. After Zoom deletes it, this extension cannot get it back.
Yes. Connect the account, export the full date range, and keep the ZIP before the account closes or the retention window lapses. The license is $19 once, which suits a single archive on the way out of Zoom.
Yes. CSV is on by default, together with Markdown. The ZIP includes index.csv with one
row per meeting: start, end, topic, title, host, meeting ID, attendees, overview, next steps,
keywords, the Zoom Doc link, and the path of the matching file. Plain text and JSON are optional
checkboxes on the same export.
From api.zoom.us into your browser, then into a ZIP saved in the folder you choose. A
cache in the browser profile lets an interrupted export resume, on the trial and after you pay.
Settings can delete it, and uninstalling the extension removes it. Opening the extension asks
ExtensionPay whether the license is paid. That check does not include summary text. If you buy or
restore a license, ExtensionPay and Stripe receive the payment details, and the extension receives
a paid / not-paid status. Summary text stays on your machine. The extension and this website
include no analytics.
